| "Fast Food Nation" (based on the book of the same name) opens this week, and if early reports are accurate, the film is so disturbing that after seeing it, viewers are unlikely to ever again eat at a McDonald's or Burger King.
The movie, directed by Richard Linklater, is only 114 minutes long. To flesh things out, we've compiled a list of some of the most disturbing tales of fast food gone wrong.
A Tough Pickle
In 1995, after Jeff Bolling bought a Big Mac at a Birmingham, Ala., McDonald's, he claimed that he had difficulty chewing on a "pickle." It was no pickle; it was a condom, according to the lawsuit he subsequently filed.
Skin Is In
David Scheiding alleged that his Arby's chicken sandwich came with an extra, unwanted topping: Human skin. After he visited the restaurant on June 18, 2004, in Tipp City Ohio, Scheiding identified the skin because he saw fingerprints on it, according to news reports.
