"The Color Marketing Group, a nonprofit organization of design professionals, says this year's key colors are "coming down to earth.""

""There's lots of shades of green. You'll see that everywhere," says Tracy Strayer, manager of an Arhaus furniture store in Louisville, Ky."

"In a similar vein, the rich browns of wood also add to the outdoorsy feel. Brown will be a major color in all shades, Strayer says, from tans to camels and darker into chocolate."

"Blues inspired by the ocean or the sky will continue to be popular, the Color Marketing Group says, predicting a merger of the greens and blues. Soft blues are paired with white and other soft neutrals in Benjamin Moore's "07 Color" magazine."

"Sherwin-Williams calls the green trend "Balanced Living," a renewed appreciation for a balanced, healthy lifestyle. Natural fibers, recycled materials and simple furnishings will be among the ways this trend plays out, along with sophisticated and understated neutrals inspired by stone and soil."

"The Penn State Cooperative Extension service is offering a short course aimed at training tree-care workers."

"The arborist short course is designed to increase tree-care knowledge and professional arborist skills and prepare workers for the International Society of Arboriculture's certification exam."

"The course will take place on four Fridays -- from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Feb. 23 and March 2, 9 and 16 -- at Penn State's McKeesport campus."

"Some of the topics to be covered include: diagnosis of plant diseases; nutrition and fertilization; installation of trees and shrubs; safety and climbing; pruning; and plant identification."

"The registration fee is $180 and the deadline to register is Feb. 16. The first 20 people to register will receive a copy of the Arborist's Certification Study guide."

"Producing a neat bead of bathtub caulk takes either a very steady hand or a good taping job. Polyseamseal Tub & Tile Masking Tape is designed for the latter."

"The tape, made by Avon's Henkel Consumer Adhesives, has a paper liner that helps a do-it-yourselfer
