But the Oak Hills Elementary School fifthgrader refused to cut it, letting it grow for nearly two years, to a length long enough to donate. " " Three thick ponytails made of Drew's hair were sent to Locks of Love, a Floridabased nonprofit organization that provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children who suffer from longterm hair loss due to medical reasons. " " Locks of Love sets guidelines for those who want to donate hair, which must be a minimum of 10 inches long. " " After the cut at Bella Amore Day Spa and Salon in Simi Valley, Drew had mixed feelings about her now shoulder length thick dark brown hair.
