"Hope is in a Cure" video will move you
" The contents of this blog are for informational purposes only and should not be construed as medical advice or substitute for professional care. For medical emergencies, dial 911!"

"1. What a moving video! When I reached the final panels, urging support for JDRF, I was a bit turned off . . . and before critics castigate me--no, I don't have solutions. But as Lisa encourages "awareness" what/where is her intended target? Those with this disease ARE aware; those who love people with this disease ARE aware. How much money has been raised over the past three decades; and how much nearer are we to a CURE?"

"Does Lisa realize that those families whose vision birthed JDRF--to aggressively search for a cure for THEIR children--now see their children's children hoping for a cure. Progress? Yes, we've got sharper needles, faster monitors, techno-gadgetry up the wazoo, and an insulin du jour being touted as the be-all, end-all. But are we any closer to a cure?"

"Ask Lilly, or Novo, or Sanofi, or Medtronics, or any of the other diabusinesses that THRIVE because of this disease. Ask the hedge fund managers who invest in these diabusinesses. Ask the researchers who want grants, and non-profit organizations whose existence depend on diabetes. They won't speak the words aloud, but in a society that apparently is driven by profit-motive rather than compassion, diabetes is just too profitable to cure."

"2. Hi Diane & Melody and Anyone else who is interested in the CAUSE & CURE of 'diabetes'..."

"Eating too often [for that particular Individual at that particular period of their life] causes relative HYPOglycaemia and relative HYPOglycaemia causes a reduction of beta cells/activity [especially type 1] and/or reduced insulin sensitivity aka insulin resistance [especially type 2]."

"(B) Eat Less Often ... specifically ... Eat ONLY clean water between meals and eat only when blood glucose level following previous eat has reduced to your chosen baseline level [eg as related to the relative fuel demands of your particular activity level]."

"(C) Await beta cell recovery, sustainable, in respect of your increased reduction of relative HYPOglycaemia ie increasingly efficient reduction of the cause increasingly efficiently facilitates your beta cell & insulin sensitivity ... recovery ... ie the cure."
